Abstract

The challenges of rising costs, staffing shortages, regulatory issues, and patient expectations within healthcare systems demand smarter and more economical leadership actions. This paper focuses on the impact of AI-driven predictive analytics in changing the upper management's decision-making procedures and enhancing the financial administration of healthcare institutions. Management as a practice, and especially in healthcare, has an over-reliance on a combination of static planning, historical intuition, and past success, which makes responding to current and future disruptions increasingly difficult. With AI and machine learning, healthcare institutions can now more accurately optimize resource utilization and forecast patient admission, operational challenges, and revenue cycles, thus improving the predicting analytics in the management value chain.
This paper is based on research from the years 2020 to 2023 and explores how AI is changing the workflow of C-level executives and improving their strategic finance methods. These include forecasting and budgeting, staffing model analytics, supply chain management, clinical performance analytics, and fraud detection. Governance systems integrated with predictive analytics shift the planning from reactionary to proactive. This grants the institution management better control over financial challenges and hidden strategic advantages.
Apart from the technological aspects, the paper examines the organizational, ethical, and regulatory issues related to the use of AI, such as data stewardship, algorithmic accountability, AI compliance mechanisms, professional and digital literacy among healthcare Board members, and privacy compliance. The study also emphasizes the cultural change needed to integrate data science teams with corporate finance officers for systematic, evidence-based governance.
This study advocates for healthcare finance leadership infrastructure to integrate predictive analytics. It underscores the amalgamation of AI with the governance of executives is more than a momentary phenomenon it is a necessity to secure sustainability, transparency, and value optimization within the healthcare economy in the post-pandemic era. The study findings advocate redefining healthcare leadership competencies to the fluency and the foreseeability of data as a financial custodian.
